Summer farmers markets are here!!!
Woohoo!
We can't wait to see you all in person again.
Our farmers market schedule will be changing slightly this summer to allow us to have a better work/life balance and be more present for Esther now that she is 5. Some of you were there when she had just been born, can you believe she is 5 already?
You can find an exact, printable copy of our market schedulehere at this link.
We will be at the
Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market: 1st Saturday every month (tomorrow, May 9th is the one exception)
Rochester Farmers Market: 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month.
Winona Farmers Market: 3rd Saturday every month
What about the off weeks?
Don't worry, we've still got you covered on the off-market weeks.
In Winona, you can find our chicken and eggs at the Bluff Country Co-op and Black and Sons Butcher CO.
In Rochester, we will be there every other week so stocking up should be easy.
And in the Twin Cities, we will still have our once a month deliveries in addition to shipping every week on Tuesdays.
Let talk shipping...
“Raise your hand if shipping a local meat order feels wasteful.”
Honestly, mine used to be up too. I’ve talked with a lot of customers who feel the same way.
I hate the Styrofoam, packing materials, and fuel that come with shipping. But then Jim pointed something out: shipping orders on an existing delivery route can use similar — and sometimes even fewer — resources than hand-delivering individual orders to market.
When you choose shipping:
Your order is delivered by Spee-Dee Delivery, which is already making deliveries in your area, so your package is just one more stop on the route.
Most of our coolers are reused from other local businesses, and the rest of the packaging is recyclable or reusable.
Shipping often uses less fuel than us driving individual orders to market.
And if you return your cooler at a market, we’ll reuse it for another order.
If you're able to order and pickup at the market that's great. But if not, don't worry, shipping is a great way to continue to getting our products.
See you at the market!
